Why Should You Drink More Water?
Drinking water has already been an essential part of our daily lives. I’m quite sure that a day won’t pass that we haven’t drunk even a glass of water. But are you aware just how important it is to keep our bodies hydrated?
It is also a common knowledge that a person should drink at least eight glasses of water a day. For whatever reason there may be, staying hydrated is important. But honestly speaking, I really cannot drink or finish up 8 glasses of water a day. It would be kinda hard for some as it has been to me. Yet as I dig deeper to the benefits and importance of staying hydrated, I pushed myself to finish those 8 glasses of water a day, and I’m going to share to you the difference it can give you.
Benefits of Drinking More Water
HELPS MAINTAIN REGULAR BOWEL FUNCTION
When you don’t get enough fluid, the colon pulls water from stools to maintain hydration — and the result is constipation. Hence, hydration keeps things flowing along your gastrointestinal tract and prevents constipation.
MAKES YOU LOOK YOUNGER AND MAKES YOUR SKIN GLOW
When a person is severely dehydrated, skin is less elastic. Staying well hydrated will provide your largest organ with a natural glow and make you look more beautiful than ever.
HELPS YOU RECOVER QUICKLY
Water helps new cells replicate and rebuild, letting your body heal much more quickly than when dehydrated.
HELPS YOU WITH YOUR DIET
As we all know, water is a zero-calorie drink. Therefore, when you drink water instead of a soda or juice, you’re avoiding unnecessary calories. Also, drinking water might also help you feel fuller.
INCREASES YOUR ENERGY LEVEL AND BRAIN FUNCTION
According to a research I’ve read, mild dehydration (fluid loss of 1-3%) can damage energy levels and mood, and lead to major reductions in memory and brain performance. That’s why drinking fluids is crucial to staying healthy and maintaining the function of every system in your body.
Increasing your water intake is one of the easiest ways to make each system run more smoothly. If you drink the suggested amount of water a day, it won’t do you any harm nor will you lose from it.
