A drip irrigation system can either be fed from deepwell with filtration systems, elevated tank gravity systems, or from municipal tapwater sources. If using pumps, best to use compression PP fittings to secure the lines from leaks and breaks. The use of sediment filters such as a mesh screen filter is the best first line defense against sediment blockages in the drip irrigation lines. To fertilize in-line with the drip irrigation system, a Venturi Injection system is an excellent solution.
Drip irrigation systems are usually composed of primary, secondary, and drip lines, valves and adapters, emitters, and a filtration system. The larger sizes of polypipe (32mm & 25mm) are used for primary/secondary while the smaller sizes (20mm & 16mm) are used for drip irrigation lines.
